I've been looking at the work of Aaron Wood, "Just one scarf Design", who creates propaganda posters that has a social media or pop culture angle to it.
This is one of my favourite propaganda posters by him encouraging people to drink coffee. I think this poster will probably appeal to those who drink coffee on a regular basis as a fuel for concentration when it comes to doing work, such as business men, or university students. I think the slogan "fuel the fight" Has a relation to the fact that people drink coffee to fight against tiredness in order to get something done. I also find it quite humorous at the fact that there is the coffee ring stains on the poster as if someone has had the poster next to them and unconsciously used it like a mug coaster whilst concentrating on a monitor or reading a newspaper.
Here is another poster by Aaron Wood, I like this poster because I find it interesting that he chose to use a popular internet meme "___ALL THE_____!" as the slogan which is well recognisable by a young audience who spend most of their time on the internet such as bloggers. Another example of this meme would be "ASSEMBLE ALL THE AVENGERS!". I also like how the post it note on the bottom far right has images of his other art work on it which is like he's promoting his other work within his work. I think this image is encouraging people to be organised by pinning things up instead of leaving scraps laying around, for example pinning up notes that might reminds them of things they have to do later so they don't forget by being unorganised. I think red text stands out because the colour is really bright compared to the rest of the poster, and the fact that it is all in caps put emphasis on it and make it seem like it is an urgent mission or like the poster is shouting at you.
