Forests - Initial Research

Aspects of Woodlands
  • Cooler temperature.
  • Mostly trees + bushes.
  • A term that describes forests found in the UK.
  • Lighter tree cover.
  • More open space.
  • Lots of light source.

Aspects of Tropical Rainforests
  • Hot.
  • Humid.
  • Some vegetation.
  • Well protected.
  • Full of wildlife.
  • Thick canopy of trees.
  • High incidence of rainfall.
  • Ground is wet and mushy due to rain.
  • 40-80% of the world's animal species has lived or is living in the rain forests.
  • Found in areas where rain is constant.
  • Less sunlight because of tall canopy of trees.
Aspects of Jungles
  • Well protected.
  • Full of wildlife.
  • Dry land.
  • Hard ground.
  • Thick growth of vegetation.
  • Typically found all over the world.
