My Pitch

I started off with showing some brief stuff I found out through my research on Franklin D Roosevelt and Martin Luther King as at first I was still deciding on which of the two I wanted to make a short video for and why I chose Martin Luther King over Roosevelt's speech. I decided to go with Martin Luther King because I felt that his speech was more inspirational and was spoken with a much more powerful tone. I also decided to go with his speech 'I Have a Dream' because I could understand the concept and situation of the African-American civil rights movement which King's speech is about more than Roosevelt's speech 'The only thing we have to fear is fear itself' and The Great Depression.

I then just threw up one of my mood boards which includes images of Luther King and Roosevelt as well as photos from The Great Depression and the African-American Civil Rights Movement and fashion from both era's as well.
I then included some links of the music I will be using with my audio which will be:
—Michael Jackson – They don’t care about us
 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnMAh-0wmhg
—They don’t care about us Instrumental
 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iA9UrlY-G4c

With the audio of the speech and mostly the instrumental version of the song i'm going to mix it up but having the beginning part of the song as the opening to the trailer and then have the rest of the instrumental version play at a lower volume behind the speech. I was also planning on having a section of lyrics from the original song being heard in between the pause of the 2 sections of the speech I am using as the lyrics include Martin Luther King's name.

I then just showed 3 images to briefly explain what kind of imagery/ footage I might be using. One was a still from a short video I made with harsh shadow and lighting and I might mix it up with the original footage of Luther king's speech and possibly clippings of footage from big things that might've been in the news at the time or over the years.
