Pitch to Client

I had a 2nd meeting with my client recently on the 18th march where I pitched my project to them. I showed them some sketches and work I had created so far for them. The first thing I showed them what the art direction I decided to go with which was a more rounded and solid colour style rather than the style with a thick black outline and the layered up strokes of colour for the hair. I showed them the test mov of the sting I had been working on for them which is 5 seconds long. The art work for the sting depicts a shield with the title of the show and the host's names as well as some imagery of references to film and cinema such as a box of popcorn, a film reel, cinema tickets and a clap board and other imagery. So far the animated elements in my sting are of the film reel spinning, the clapboard opening and closing and the pop corn box jumping and popcorn flying out of it and disappearing. My clients agreed with my choice of art direction and really liked my sting so far. My client, Jessica suggested the grey background for the sting to look more sepia, like a brownish colour and I also suggested giving the shield a sepia wash too to go with it so that the colours become slightly muted and she thought it was a good idea. My other client Joseph also asked if I could animate some more elements of the shield such as the drama masks can move a bit to look as if they're levitating and if the popcorn at the bottom could wiggle at the same time that the box jumps, I also suggested the tickets could fan out as well and he agreed. I'm going to make these changes and show them again in our next meeting which is booked a week from now.
